About Us: Lighthouse Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. We enthusiastically sing traditional style music. We preach without compromise the KJV Bible. We believe in soul winning and Biblical separation. Our first church service was held in the old Arco Building on November 19, 1995 with twelve in attendance. We organized the following year on November 24, 1996 with Michael Young as the founding pastor. Lighthouse Baptist Church was started under the authority of Bible Baptist Church of Coffeyville, Kansas where the former Ronald W. Wood was the pastor. The church building was purchased on March 19, 1996. The first Baptism service was held on May 19, 1996 at Bible Baptist Church of Coffeyville. The first missionary was taken on for support in June, 1996. The first revival meeting was held September 15 -22, 1996. On December 31, 2006, Steve Hill became the fourth pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Pastor Hill was ordained into the ministry on March 2,1996. He graduated from Norris Bible Baptist Institute where he received his training for the ministry in May of 1996. Pastor Hill began pastoring in March of 1997 at Calvary Baptist Church of Graham, Texas. Pastor Hill and his family are excited about the new opportunity God has given them here in Independence. |
