The Sacred Task
To raise a family in the Lord Is a sacred task and calling, And to raise them up in Him is more Precious than any earthly treasure.
They’re loaned to us a little while These precious little children, And in our charge God gives each one In His nurture and admonition.
Mistakes we make as humans do But love covers all omissions So long as we dedicate to Him Each day so graciously given.
We cannot choose their path for them Only point them in the right direction, And train them up in confidence That God will draw them to Himself.
