Somewhere the Sun Still Shines

Unwelcome Guest
Sorrow always comes unbidden, an unwelcome guest in our midst, Pain never waits to ask permission before it comes our way. Though many things we can understand, and even know the reason, Others seem to make no sense, and may defy description.
We know the Bible teaches truth, and that God permits our testing, But while we’re in the midst of things, we just can’t help but question. After all, since God is love, how can He let this happen When the only one who benefits is our Enemy who hates us?
When we look back in later times and seek an explanation Everything seems to be so clear, as we see His plan unfolding. Why can’t we see with eyes as sharp when the stormy seas surround us? Perhaps we’re blinded by the tears and puzzled by the darkness.
One thing I’ve learned, yet oft forget, is that God does not forsake us; He sends us friends to share the load, and His Spirit works within. We can bear another’s burdens, when they are loaded down, And when our own new battles come, they’ll do the same for us.
